Since I'm not sure where else to ask this, I'll ask here. For your troubles, I'll post a gravure idol and Gackt to look at first:

And now: What programs do you all use to grab screen captures from dvd's and such?

VLC Player is the only thing I can use on the Mac. When I was on Windows, I generally used Media Player Classic, 'cause it's totally awesome. Each of these video programs have built-in snapshot options.

I think it depends on your video card, I actually just print screen, and slap it on photoshop and it works for me!

It depends on the player's settings. If the player uses an overlay to render the video, Print Screen will return black where the image is. Make sure your player's renderer can support screencaps.
