Wow, that's some pressure to introduce myself. Well first off, I like a lot of things, mostly Books, Comics (American+Manga), Movies and Music. I decided to finally take a gander at the forums, but you can find some of my comment at the Home page. Seeing as I don't want to spend to much time on unnecessary details , I will form a list of thing you can pick at and we can deiscuss those (totally unnecessary details).
Sound fun?

Here are some Anime I like (There's more, but I don't like listing them all):

Books Authors:
Anything from Stephen King, Chuck Klosterman, James Clavell.

Movies (I love Foreign Movies):
OldBoy, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, Welcome to Dongmakgol, Brother, Red Cliff, Chi-hwa-seon, Fist of Legend,Departures, Day Watch, Night Watch, Keinohrhasen, Downfall and District 9.

aah oldboy is one of my personal favorites. I can't say I care for you tastes in music or books though . . . then again I'm a bit of an indie prick

Anime is another story. I love Eden of the East, Darker Than Black, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Tenchi Muyo!, Trigun, Yu Yu Hakasho.

You might like Time of Eve. It's on crunchyroll.com too.

Have you watched the rest of The Vengeance Trilogy?
I still haven't watched "Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance."

I like how casually you call yourself an "Indie Prick," I take it this is a common thing you say. You might like Chuck Klosterman if you give him a try. He writes about modern culture and all that good stuff. Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs is an amazing book.

I'll give it a try. what's it about and how many seasons are out?

I have watched Sympathy for Mr. Vengence and it's good but it pales in comparison to Old Boy.

Haha well. I prefer honestly to being polite. Actually it's just a term I sort of coined to describe 90% of the kids in the "Indie Scene". It's rather laughable but I really don't get along with this group of people that supposedly shares my interests.

Thanks for the book idea. I need something to read lately. Sounds like he might be similar to Chuck Pahlanuik or David Sedaris.

Time of Eve or Jikan no Eve is about androids in the future. They look just like humans and therefore it spawns alot of negative feedback. Some people treat them like humans but most of society frowns on this. The anime centers around a cafe which has a rule of no discrimination. Its a really well-drawn series. Its pretty short though and only has 1 season so far.

Mizu no Kotoba is reallu similar but it's a one episode short.

It's hard finding foreign movies, because most rental places don't have a huge section for them.

Yeah, most people who like indie music are kinda pompous pricks. No offense to you. =]
I just like music in general.

Yeah, if you do check out, Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs, it covers a wide range of subjects like: sports, drugs, women, music, Rock cover bands, kittens with mittens and all that other good stuff.

That does sound pretty interesting, looks like it has some good animation, too. I'm going to look around for some Enlish subbed vids, though. I can't stand English dubbed anime, they always find horrible voice cast and make the main male sound like a bitch. So I just watch it with original audio and subs on the bottom. =]

No offense taken. Indie kids are pretentious in general.

I hate dubs too. Go to http://www.crunchyroll.com/library/Time_of_Eve. It's subbed!

Three posts in, that title still doesn't make any sense.

James Clavell.

Hah, Shogun is like the only book I've ever read. I'm such a weeaboo.

I have helped run a few forums and I am a member of some other, so it just means I have introduced myself a lot. Plus, it's a lyric from a Diablo Swing Orchestra song. :p

You should read the rest of The Asian Saga, you'll like the rest of it "if" you enjoyed Shogun. :D

I did go there the first time you recommended it, but I accidentally clicked French subs and didn't see the English ones. lol.

I went back to find the English ones. :D

I'll give it a try after I finish Fate/Stay Night and Darker Than Black 2.:)

I just finished Fate/Stay Night.

I am at episode #17 right now.
Shiruo is such a bitch, it's annoying, lol. I like him, but half the words he knows are "Saber, Saber, Saber, SABER!"

WHAT!?! Darker than Black season 2 is out! Oh Shite son!

You didn't know that?
Darker than Black: Ryūsei no Gemini is 12 episodes and #8 comes out tomorrow.
