Fuji TV is about to celebrate their 50th anniversary, and what better way to do so than to present a drama full of our favorite actors and actresses? Kawaii-Joyuu reports that this drama will be called Waga Unchi no Rekishi (My Family's History) and will air next spring. Written by comedian Mitani Koki, the story will be about a family’s life during the Showa period. Mitani says of the storyline:
"It’s the first time we are mixing the genre of a family dorama with a post-war dorama ... During that long story, we are going to see laughter, tears, romance, suspense and love within the family and not to forget the classic teledrama component. I couldn’t have wrote something like that, if it wasn’t for the 50th anniversary."
Of course, considering the occassion, Fuji decided to pull out all the stops on the cast. The five family members will be played by Shibasaki Kou, Matsumoto Jun, Sato Ryuuta, Horikita Maki and Eikura Nana -- easily 5 of my favorites. This really could be incredible! However, rather than a comedy, this one will likely be a much deeper story. We'll bring you more as soon as we hear it, but with an all-star cast like this, drama fans certainly have something to look forward to for next year.
I would love it if you guys kept tabs on this
