Today’s edition of Fun Friday AMV is a super special one; instead of having only one AMV featured in this segment this week, we have three! The reason behind this is because each one of these videos is what AMV creator Decoy Ops calls a “Technique Beat”; and I thought it would be redundant to do a Fun Friday AMV for each video. Now in case you are wondering, the Technique Beat family of AMVs are basically extremely-flashy explanations of special moves from different anime, like Bleach or Naruto.
Decoy Ops started out with a simple Rurouni Kenshin Technique Beat that looks like any other AMV out there today. However, it evolved and changed into something greater, which can be seen in the Bleach one seen above. The effects are amazing, though somewhat distracting; and sync well the upbeat music that usually accompanies the AMV. Take a gander at his other two after the jump.
What intrigues me is not the actual AMV content, but how it was made. Must have taken hell of a time to do it (the 1st one is the one done best). I have played around in several professional video editing software to know that just one single effect is a pain to get right quickly.
According to Decoy the Naruto one took a couple months editing several hours a day. After Effects may be infinitely powerful, but it's infinitely tedious as well...
Overseer FTW!
