I watched this for a while when it was on in Japan. I got so tired of Cecily needing her butt saved all the time (by the guy, of course) I gave up on it. There's so much better anime out there...
Sacred Blacksmith kind of was like a Shonen with a female lead although Cecily Cambell was so lame she made Naruto look cool and Luke (the "Sacred Blacksmith") didn't help the situation much. There is also a ton of "breast economics" involved with this series. I can't wait to see how Funimation will try and spin it. The only really redeeming aspect of this show and the reason I managed to finish was the character Lisa who had some endearing moments but they do not do enough to hold an otherwise unremarkable show together.
Hmm, maybe I should catch up on this. They were (are?) airing the subbed episodes a while back; this might be a good time to catch up. Yeah I admit there were a lot of mediocre aspects, which is why I didn't finish the first time around, but I don't mind taking a shot.
If what little of this series I've seen is any indication, at least one of these actors is going to throw out their voice with six straight minutes of high-pitched whining.

The series gets a C+ from me. I was surprised at how quickly they jumped to license this before the show even finished airing. I wasn't expecting much out of it, but I still ended up pretty let down. At least the characters look nice even though their armor failed to protect pretty much all of their vital spots. What was the point of wearing it? lol.
Wow what a lot of hate....I thought the show was awesome!! Wish there was more of it. Perhaps not quite moe blob enough for some folks? Some of you are going to hate when Berserk or Mazinkaiser come out.
