FUNimation licenses Seto no Hanayome

FUNimation licenses Seto no Hanayome photo

Here is a random Wednesday announcement by your friends at FUNimation via their twitter. FUNimation licenses the shonen anime Seto no Hanayome, which they will be calling My Bride is a Mermaid. The series will be released in two box sets, sometime later this year; this is great because everyone hates those 3 episode DVD releases of yesteryear.

Yes this show is about mermaids, but that does not mean it’s only for little girls and creepy old fishermen; no, this show is for everyone. Would you believe that this show is about the mermaid mafia, with mermaid extortion, mermaid drug and arms trafficking, mermaid loan sharking, and mermaid hits. The worst thing this mermaid mafia does is force a young Japanese teenage boy to marry one of their daughters to save her life; those monsters! Look forward to this title, and for gods sake stay away from the oceans!
