Genshiken returns to anime

Your favorite club is back

The popular manga, Gensiken Nidaime is finally going to make its way to an anime adaptation! The show will be a followup to one of my favorite show, Genshiken --which chronicles the hilarious antics of a group of motley otaku, and their extreme obsessions.

I haven't followed the manga past the first issue, but the anime and awesome cast of characters were super relatable, and full of "oh my god, that's me" moments. The new cast looks pretty awesome, and look to be representing totally new otaku stereotypes. I just hope they can keep the tradition going! Still no date or details in the Afternoon Magazine article, but you can be sure to get update here when they are released.
