Get gangan for Young Gangan's new anime: Working!! and Arakawa Under the Bridge

Japan comes up with great names for its manga magzines. Men's Young, Shounen JUMP, Megastore, Kairakuten BEAST, they all sound like sentai names. "Kamen Rider MEGASTORE!", and so on. Another great name is Young GANGAN, a bi-weekly magazine run by grassroots indie-darling publisher Square Enix.

Young GANGAN plays host to several ongoing manga, including the loli mahjong-and-taco series Saki, Hokkaido employment manga Working!! and weird hobo manga Arakawa Under the Bridge. Those last two will be getting the anime treatment courtesy of A-1 pictures and SHAFT studio, respectively.

Working!! is a four-panel strip illustrated by Karino Takatsu dedicated to the Hokkaido family restaurant Wagnaria, and Arakawa Under the Bridge tells the story of a young man meeting a homeless person under the Arakawa Bridge in Tokyo. Ah, the classic love story.

If you're down with reading crazy moon runes, you can read the first few chapters of Working!! here.
