If you've been desparate for some yakuza action, then Cherry Blossom Eiga points out that over on Xbox Live, you can dig up The Tattooed Hitman, directed by Kosaku Yamashita. The film is up on the site for only 200 MS points, which you'd think is a steal, but it's actually a bit of a trap. According to CBE:
Keep in mind, this isn't some unedited original Japanese version of the film. It is dubbed (atrocious!) and prolly cut to shit. Like I said, I haven't seen it, but I'm a pig in shit for the fact that I get the opportunity to. Also, if you download any movie from the marketplace you only have it for 2 weeks, and once you start to play it, i believe you only have it for 24hrs.
Well, that's a bust. It's good to see that some Japanese films are making their way up onto XBL, even if they're coming in a totally gimped fashion. Well, if I put it that way, it's just like Japanator! If you're brave enough to drop your money on this film, let us know what you think here or in the forums. Of course, I could just whip John or Len to go buy the movie on XBL and do a review of it.
Should I do that? There, this question is making up for last week's otaku debate.
