Go Love Boat otaku-style with Uk-based Cosplay Cruise photo

Are Otakon and Anime Expo kind of starting to feel stale to you? Like, you know, you've DONE this whole con thing, you know all the attention whore cosplayers, you're kind of bored with the panels, and you kind of want something new to do? Well, here's a nutty concept -- how about we take it all and put it on a boat and sail it down a river?

That's the idea with Cosplay Cruise, a con that will sail down the Thames river on the Dixie Queen (pictured above). ANN reports this UK-based event will feature a live performance from J-Pop band Sputniko as well as five hours of music for you to dance your heart out to. Too bad if you get seasick like yours truly.

The Cosplay Cruise sets sail from Tower Bridge on July 10th and will go from seven PM to midnight. Tickets cost GBP £25.00 each, which is not too bad. Part of me wants to laugh, but I do admit nothing like this has ever been done before. I also admit a picture of Yoko puking her guts out over the railing of a boat is something that's never been seen before, but certainly might appear after this event takes place.

nice boat
Every time I see a cruise boat, I think School Days. Every time I think of School Days, I think of Sekai, then I think about what happened at the end of School Days. Good times.

I'll check this out.
awesome :D
Will the boat be hijacked by one piece cosplayers?
That sounds like a good plan for FACTS 2010 afterparty. If that fails i'll just dare cosplayers to take a tour of Ghent by boat :D
Wth i never got laid at a con. . .

You know AX is right next to the Queen Mary maybe we could take it there hmm
