Goodbye Japanator Radio

Jul 30 // Zac Bentz

Sorry this took so long.

Some of you have already noticed, but for those of you who haven't, you are no longer able to download any episodes of Japanator Radio. That is because the show is no longer in production and is no longer being supported.

I am deeply sorry to anyone upset over this. Totally my fault and not the result of any dramatic behind-the-scenes falling out. The show has been steadily spinning down, due entirely to my own dwindling amount of time and energy to devote to the show and, frankly, my growing lack of interest in the show in general. To be honest, for the past year or so the show has continued only because of the always amazing show of support from the fans. As they say, without you, this show would not have continued to exist as long as it did.

I feel bad that the rug has been completely pulled out from under those same fans. I at least owed you a bit of warning, some sort of closure, but things moved rather fast. Now it's all been banished to the land of wind and ghosts. I think it's better that way.

I hope I've at least left you with a deeper respect for the modern Japanese music scene, as well as the tools to continue on your own path of discovery. And who knows? Maybe the show will return in the future in some form.

Until then, you can find me around the usual places. I recommend Twitter. Thanks for the years of fun and support, everyone! Rock on!
