Google Earth and maps can be used to see a number of fun things, like your own house. Among other things, Google Earth can see "Earth-kun," the mascot of the Tokyo Metropolitan Sewerage.
Earth-kun's massive visage, at least a couple hundred feet in diameter, is painted on the top of an old water reclamation center in Tokyo.
It reminds me of some of those rice paddy crop art images. More aerial-view-only art would certainly make a flight into Tokyo more interesting.
