Making great gunpla is always a lot of work; most of which requires artistic talent, high-quality paint, and equipment. These are the reasons why people like myself are scared away from partaking in making these wonderful miniature models of mecha art. However, after viewing The Four Celestial Guardians, none of this matters anymore. If I could create something this wonderful, I don’t care how long it takes, it will be worth it in the end.
These models are based off of the four Celestial Guardians of Chinese Mythology: the Black Tortoise, the Red Phoenix, the Green Dragon, and the White Tiger. An unnamed otaku out of Hong Kong created these using gunpla already on the market, customizing them to awesome standards. For the parts that did not exist in other kits, he had to fashion together the pieces from scratch; even making use of things like molds in order to make the part he needed. Now that is dedication my friends. Check out the gallery below, or the links above for more images of these great kits. By the way I love the Red Phoenix, he’d be my Gundam, if the gods happened to give me one (please.)
