I don't know what the hell ADV's problem was, but it seems that they've finally worked things out. Finally. We were worried there for awhile when things started going south with the US anime industry, and we became even more worried when the title anticipated didn't make spring release lists.

Worry not! Reports are coming in that the first DVD of Gurren Lagann is hitting store shelves in the US. We thought for sure that they'd hold the title back for release at some anime convention this summer (wouldn't that be stupid?) to surprise us, but it looks like they've opted for the stealth release instead.
