I'm still shocked that Aksys Games is not only publishing another PSP game out west, but a Hakuoki spinoff to boot. I'd like to believe that the original visual novel sold well enough to warrant their bringing Warriors of the Shinsengumi over. This sort of franchise commitment bodes well for future releases on newer consoles.
You won't have to wait too long to get your mitts on more samurai action; Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi hits PSP consoles on February 19. Unlike the original, Warriors is an action game in which you can choose one of your favorite characters and either run through the story of the original, or play a brand new narrative. There's a little bit of something here for everybody, so I'm looking forward to giving it a shot next month.
