Obviously, I seem to have a few issues with a certain brand of singing sensation. It's not that I think it's all that bad, only a bit bland and same-y.
Well, f*@k me! Zillions of people love the software generated vocals of Hatsune Miku, pop idol and ruthless destroyer of vegetable matter everywhere. The people at HearJapan are obviously more hip to this phenomenon than I am and have recently stuffed their virtual shelves full of MP3 albums featuring the singer and her various other personifications.
Right now they lay claim to something like 40 separate albums of Vocaloid material, some of them also featuring the newer Gackt edition called Gackpoid. You can hear samples of every single track, as well as get giant versions of all the album art. Oh yeah, and you can also buy the music for a very reasonable price.
Just in case you're not totally familiar with is going on here, hit the jump for a few of Miku's most popular videos.
how exactly is HearJapan able to lay claim to the music that they haven't produced? i mean even if these titles are covers, aren't the artists who made the music utilizing vocaloid software owners of their own music? aren't they protected by fair use?
It's leek spin!!!!!!!
