Hello World! Hello Fall!

Hello Japanator.

Consider this the first of many painful bloody thrusts that take my anime blogging virginity away. It's a humiliating process, during which I will be screaming "NOOOO!" repeatedly. Brad convinced me to start a c-blog in his Failcast 50 appearance. Thus, you can hold him personally responsible for this disgusting throbbing tumor some dare call a blog.

Here's my personal opinion on this fall's season, so you can get to know my tastes a bit.



I'll withstand the temptation to make an iron curtain of text about this season.

I hate fanservice and anime clichés, unless they are extremely over the top.
I like originality and character/plot progression (despite this, I have plenty of dirty pleasures)

My favorite animes: FLCL (overall), La Maison en Petits Cubes/Cat Soup (artsy fartsy), My Neighbor Totoro/Shugo Chara! (children), Aishiteruze Baby (romance), JoJo's Bizarre Adventure [1993] (action/metrosexuality)

Well, I would have given it more credit if they called it One Piece pt 2...

Hello and welcome to the cblogs. I like the way you did the chart.

The only thing in common with One Piece and Fairy tail is that they are both shonen animes. One Piece is way better btw. Still, the Fairy Tail manga is nice and I'll have to see more eps than the first episode to judge the anime adaptation.

I've watch/read a lot of shonen but One Piece is the one I never get tired of watching/reading. There is good humor, good fights and the current manga arc is probably the most epic thing I've ever seen. Eiichiro Oda is a god.

Hmm sorry for that tl;dr OP fangasm, you may carry on.

Yeah, I hardly ever enjoy shonen... Especially when the shows run long (27+ eps) and plot progression is nowhere to be found. I have seen approximately 100 episodes of One Piece, but stopped there.

As for manga, I'd definately like to read more (and read more literature in general) - as I'm sure many of us would.
Currently I only own FLCL, 20th Century Boys and Mushishi in manga form.

Oh hell yes, someone who agrees with me about Tentai Senshi Sunred!

It's the sort of show concept that I expect to be funny for about 15 minutes, but I watched nearly all of the first season and it never got old.

Yeah, I had never heard of the series, but I was very impressed by the first episode of season 2.
I hope the entirety of S2 will be subbed, but in the mean time I'll have to catch up on S1. The concept is very simple, but it works.

Maybe I'll poop out a C-Blog about this show, as it doesn't get as much attention as it deserves.

I think White album is pretty good but it's also a harem-ish series.

Aishiteruze baby was pretty good, I was surprised to see that was on your list.
