By the way Josh, it is technically the 4th, since Super Robot Wars OG Gaiden is canon. And its the third officially, story wise. Almost like the case with the SRW Alpha series where you had Alpha, then Alpha Gaiden, and then Alpha 2.
Here's your 1st 2nd Super Robot Wars OG trailerAnd no, I didn't mistype the headline. It's the first trailer for the PS3-destined The 2nd Super Robot Wars OG, which, technically, is the third game in the series, due in September. Well, it's the third if you count the original two GameBoy Advance titles, and skip Super Robot Wars OGs, the PS2 remake of those games. It seems Namco Bandai and Banpresto did the opposite, and now consider that game to be the "true" first. In any case, the trailer is there, and it looks awesome, because in addition to all the 2D sprite mecha madness typical of any Super Robot Wars title, the opening CG displays various OG mecha in realistic, to-scale style. It's amazing, and reminiscent of the CG done for titles like Another Century's Episode, another crossover mecha franchise also owned by Banpresto. Amazing. I didn't know the Angelg was that big, and I saw The Inspector anime series. Speaking of that, you can drop a hilarious amount of money on a special edition of the game that comes with the complete Blu-ray collection of the anime. 26 episodes of high-definition anime robot madness, followed by 20-odd hours of videogame high definition robot madness? That's just indulgent. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Now I have a reason to get my ass into gear and play SRW OG Gaiden (Owned it for about a year now). Its good to see that they did not get lazy and recycle animations from the units that appeared in OGS, and Gaiden.
