Of all the Studio Ghibli films, My Neighbor Totoro is probably one of the most memorable. I really loved everything about the film, from the characters to the adorable theme song. After watching it for the first time so many years ago, I found myself really wanting my very own Totoro. Unfortunately, I hadn't come across any plushies worth picking up since. In fact, I had pretty much given up hope until I saw these fantastic videos.

I think I might have actually bumped into this girl at a convention or two, though I can't really remember which one. She goes by GoldenJellyBean on YouTube, and has a series of videos that show off her custom creations. Recently, she uploaded part one of a series showing how she created the Totoro doll pictured above. If you're interested, she also lists off the all the components she used to make it. You can also see some more of her designs over at Tomopop or, via her YouTube channel.

Check out the videos after the jump.

Finally a usable use for crocheting.
For any crocheters out there, I found the link for the pattern:

Reads like computer code to me.
If you are like me, and have no hand-skills to do any kind of art whatsoever, Kotobukiya had a bunch of nice Totoro plushies back on october. I'm pretty sure you can find one of them to buy through the internets.

But this hand-made one is totally awesome and I would love to buy one of those.
@Rank57, Did not see any still on Kotobukiya. Jbox and Toysnjoys has Totoro plushies on their sites.
