A Certain Magical Index is a guilty pleasure of mine. While it's oftentimes completely ridiculous and filled with crazy leaps in logic, I find the world the characters occupy to be absolutely fascinating. The whole concept is basically all the ludicrous things I love about anime in one show. The only problem? It takes forever for new seasons to pop up. Considering how far along the novels are, you'd think it wouldn't take so long to adapt the material.

I honestly have no clue if the upcoming film adapts any canon material. Either way, the brand new trailer that debuted at Comiket today is filled with all the zany antics and high budget action I've come to expect from this franchise. I'd be lying if I told you I didn't crack a smile during the last few seconds of the trailer as Toma delivers his trademark line. Too bad the movie won't be hitting Japanese theaters until February 23 of next year. Bah humbug!
