It would seem that iDOLM@STER, the video games where you make your own J-idol group, has quickly become the meme of choice for mash-up makers everywhere (OK, maybe just in Japan.) Today we have the rather incongruous pairing of tiny little Japanese dancing girls and the strange death/nu-metal/whatever the hell it is the damn fool kids listen to these days band Maximum the Hormone. You might remember them from the second Death Note OP.
Anyway, here they are providing the soundtrack not only for cute virtual girls in skimpy clothes, but also some pretty freaky chicks in metal death helmets and screw arms. That is the hook here. Where the hell are they getting these things? At first I thought it was some reference to Gurren Lagann, but I think it's something else. Anyone have a tip as to just what the hell these girls are supposed to be dressed up as?
