Indie 2D Action Mecha Game Code: HARDCORE enters Kickstarter
Body temperatures are about to rise
If there's one thing that the world need, it's more games with cool giant robots pulling off stylish moves. The gang at RocketPunch Games hope to make this a reality, as they take their 2D four-player versus mecha title, Code: HARDCORE, to Kickstarter.
As a person who's a huge fan of ridiculous machines, I love the fact that one of RocketPunch Game's inspirations for Code: HARDCORE was to make a title that gave off a Super Robot Wars vibe where players could pull off the over-the-top moves themselves, instead of watching them. Hell, I'm impressed that they're adding a Story Mode where you play through levels that go well with each of the game's robots, such as a flying stage for Geier, the title's Macross-like unit.
If the team meets their goal, the Code: HARDCORE will launch on the PC, Mac and Linux. Depending on how things go, they might shoot for consoles as well. At the moment, the Chinese indie game development team is aiming to raise $65,536 to add the finishing blow to their project. From one mecha fan to another, I'd like to wish them the best in gathering the resources to complete their ultimate fighting machine. Setup email comments
