As part of the Japan Expo Awards, the folks at North Star Media got up on stage to show off their ComiCom.me app, which is making its debut in French.

The program is essentially an image macro generator that lets you post on Facebook. The app features manga panels from Fist of the North Star and City Hunter, along with disparaging pictures of former president Nicholas Sarkozy. You can replace the speech bubbles with your own text, and let hilarity ensue! The images are broken down by character and into famous panels, such as Ken’s “You’re already dead” line.

They plan to expand the app into non-North Star Media properties in the worlds of manga, anime, film, and possibly more. Which is cool – it’s a nice way to give attribution for some of the classic images of the Internet. But yeah, it is ultimately just an image macro generator, so do with it as you will. And remember, it’s available in French and Japanese, not link.
