Wow, the Europeans take their cosplay seriously. I've never really sat down and paid much attention to the scene, beyond what I see at cons and have observed at Yoyogi Park. At Japan Expo 2012 the world of high end cosplay was finally unveiled to me.

I was really amazed not only by the beauty of the contestants and their costumes, but the level of choreography and acting involved with the presentation. There was a capacity crowd as the teams took to the stage, showing their love and dedication to the series they were representing. I won't lie. I found the whole experience really exciting.

Watch out world. I'm not becoming a cosplay fan! Make sure to check back later this week as I will post highlights of the European Cosplay Gathering that also took place at Japan Expo this year.

Will the American cosplayers reign supreme when the convention makes its way here next year?
