Japan's Baskin-Robbins sandwiches aren't what you think
I didn't see this coming
When the ice cream shop Baskin-Robbins and sandwiches come to mind, one will imagine that it has to do with actual ice cream. Lo and behold, that isn't the case with this latest dessert.
Unlike your average ice cream sandwich, Yamazaki's Baskin-Robbins Lunch Pack are bread stuffed with a mix strawberry cream, jam, and juice. I guess that they were able to capture the literal term of this yummy treat.
From the looks of it, the Lunch Pack seems to replicate the Baskin-Robbins' Very Berry ice cream. This shows that Yamazaki's experience with stuffing things into bread paid off with this new item. Of course, it increases my desire to want to try this thing.
Unfortunately, the Baskin-Robbins Lunch Pack is a limited item that's available in Japan from July 1 through Sept. 30, so you'll have to get them before they disappear. If you happen to visit the region around that time, you might get the chance to see if it's as good as the real Very Berry ice cream.
