Japan sending Akita puppy as gift to Russian president

11:00 AM on 07.24.2012

Another day, another Morning Puppy post! Wait, that's not a running feature? Why the hell not?

Japan's latest prime minister Yoshihiko Noda recently met with Vladimir Putin in Mexico. Eventually, Noda promised to deliver an Akita puppy to the Russian president, a known dog-lover. The plans are going forward, and now the Japanese government is preparing to send Yume to join Putin's two other gift dogs, Buffy the Bulgarian Shepard and Koni the black Labrador. Hooray for politics!

Yume is a really cute puppy, but it looks so sad through this video! All the politicians are just passing her around and she looks miserable. Hopefully she will be a little more happy once she gets to Russia!
