Japanator After Dark: A look at 'A Wish of My Sister'

After reading A Wish of My Sister, I really have to wonder what family life is like in Japan. When I was with a host family, all their kids had already moved out, and some of them even had children too, so I didn't exactly get put into a love triangle or be forced to cross-dress. I guess my family was just old fashioned. Plus, I don't have the legs for it. Much too hairy.

So, with that in mind, I think we can take a look at A Wish of my Sister by Masahiro Itosugi as a very serious look into what life is like for the modern Japanese family. We can extract the minute details of how brothers and sisters interact in the big city, especially when separated from their parents -- it must be very damaging on their psyche.

Or, we can just take it for what it is: a really hot forced feminization story.

The first half of the book is a series of stories entitled A Wish of my Sister, where a young boy is caught trying on his sister's panties, and all things go downhill from there. After his sister takes him on an outing in girl's clothes, one of his classmates catches his actions and uses this as blackmail to start sleeping with him, thus causing a rather complicated love triangle.

Meanwhile, the latter half of the book is a collection of short stories, with most of them dealing with forced feminization or cross dressing, and pretty much all of them dealing with incest.

Throughout the book, there is a great focus on romance and the very strong and very real feelings the characters have for each other – strong enough that they barely give a second thought to the implications of incest, and will gladly let the man ejaculate inside them. Nonetheless, the feelings of the characters really come across, and in something like A Wish for my Sister, I really felt bad for the boy's older sister as she came to terms with the fact that she would be giving up her younger brother to this other girl.

Itosugi's art style is very clean, appealing, and playful. Her (yes, women draw porn, too) playful style of art, with the simplistic and bright-eyed faces of excitement the characters make, helps make the cross dressing that goes on all the more plausible, and ultimately, more exciting. In every chapter, though, there will be a page or a couple of panels where the mood takes a sharp turn for the serious, and people confront the feelings that are at-hand. My one complaint about the book is that there are no pages that truly stick out and stay in your mind. The volume is all high-quality, don't get me wrong, but I always enjoy seeing that one page, that one panel, that perfectly sums up the feelings of everything going on in the book.

You can pick up the title directly from our good friends at Icarus Comics, or at your local comics store that also carries adult titles.
