Also, seeing as how Mister Rice is going to be on, what are your opinions on the recent magma site crackdown? Did you use sites like that at all? Would you pay for a subscription to a legal manga reader site? For your 'what's manga been up to' segment, when it is in session, I notice that a few of the hosted titles catch my attention, but I'm not provided with the names of the titles so I can check it out. My question is this: when is the next one coming, and will you provide the names of the promoted titles?

Say someone picked up a 3 month subscription to The Anime Network for HOTD. What other shows would you recommend they watch on that site to get the most bang for their buck?

I, myself, am a pretty sheepish guy when it comes to my anime fandom. I only started sharing it more recently because my college friends started talking about anime themselves, and even then I still hide my small manga and anime collection while I'm home. How do you guys deal with your fandom when regarding friends/family or in general discussion?

Now for a serious question, with the crack down on manga sites, is it logical to assume that after they have been pushed back to the dark nether regions of the net, will anime sites be next?

I've been growing up on anime, but now that nostalgia is hard hitting, I want to find some of the older series that i grew up with but I can't seem to find any kind of copy of the old series, specially in the states. Do you know how I can go finding some of these old timers?

In the past I have heard Colette rail against Liar Game. I'm curious what is your beef? Liar game is good. It's good in the sense that kung fu movies are good. You have to enjoy the over the top aspects. This show classically shows the lack of subtlety in Japanese television. They literally club you over the head their reactions. Some of "Mushroom Head"'s responses are gut bustingly good. The characters are stereotyped to the nth degree. The set design can be quite creative and it introduces people to clever yet simple math.
While I've watched anime for forever (longer than most of you have been alive sadly) I only recently got into J-drama. This show is what has propelled me onto more J-drama and I would not be surprised if in the future "Liar Game" is seen in a similar light to "Akira" in introducing a whole new generation (society) to the greatness of Japan.

1) In the spirit of the monthly musing, what are your personal revolutionary anime and why?

2) Big groups that go to Otakon always seem to come out having one of those epic stories of the weekend's events that always end in someone in the group being horribly, irrevocably scarred for life. Who on J-Tor's staff is going to be that person this year?

I'm sure I am too late, but why does Brad Rice continue to watch shows he doesn't like? Wouldn't the better path be to just say "I don't like this show" and then comment on shows he does like?

Hey guys, I'm planning a trip to Japan in 2011 and the first leg is going to be in Tokyo, know some of you if not all of you have been to Japan I was wanting some advice on places to go, eat and to generally have a blast at. Also any good study advise to help me learn Japanese before I go.

are any of you guys fans of the Keisuke itagaki's "Grappler Baki" series? if so is there any news on any licenses being acquired for the manga here in states?

it's my favorite manga series ever plus come 2011 it'll have been running for 20 frickin' years

could you mention or drop an hint on the podcast to publishers that there are fans that would love to see the series bought here? i mean the anime was fun but it cant touch the manga and i would love to be able to go to my local comic/book outlet, shell out some of my hard earned ca$h and stay abreast of the adventures of Hanma & Son
