Never listened to an anime podcast for obvious reasons but I recently started loving Japanator will give it a shot.

Yeah, what happened to viewer questions Jtor 25?

its funny. while japanator am was in hiatus mode, i went to find other anime podcasts to check out to keep the trend going, but i sadly realized that because japanator am was my first podcast, everything else was nearly unbearable to listen to. The "top anime podcasts" of whatever year were just boring and not really fun. And the ones that only had one person didn't even make it past 10 minutes. Japanator AM is pretty much like like the g spot of anime podcasts.

Forgot to complain about the L/R audio balance. Everyone's voice was too Left or too Right, that it hurt hearing it in my headphones. It was so bad, that I had to turn on Dolby Headphone. Eeww. Please make the next one more balanced.

Glad to see a new AM. Anyone know the name of the song at the start? Going nuts trying to figure it out.

Man, you don't realize how hard it is to type something while listening to Brad read that story.

@ nortonantivirus If you have fancy audio drivers, turn on an environment. I was having similar problems until I did that. Not to mention, I can make it sound as if Brad is in a auditorium telling his story to a huge group of people.

I also have to confirm how awkward it was listening to that. It was like Brad was off on his own bellowing into my left ear with his contrabass voice while everyone was off to the other side in fear of it.

On the topic of sex in games, would Xenogears count?
In some occasions of the game there were some segments where character dialogue occurs as they are in bed with their partner after they finished their serious business. Then there was one with the main couple of the game having sex before moving on to the finale. Though it was mostly implied and then the story continues as one dresses while the other is resting in the nude. There was also scene in the games ending sequence that involved the game's couple running nude with convenient bright light randomly covering the upper body area (curse you T-Rating).

I remember being more impressed than shocked since it was the first j-rpg where I got to experience that. Besides that, the main plot impressed me more since it covered a couple themes that would give the game a M rating by today's standards. Cannibalism, religious references, and mind scarring psychological abuse are some examples of the many plot elements you will encounter in the game untamed. Perhaps if I never experienced Xenogears, I might have not had the interest in games like the SMT series or Catherine.

On that other note, Brad needs to read random fan fictions out loud for us Jtor audiences more often.

I was but a young lad when I unknowingly clicked on an ad on Newgrounds, back when they had adult ads in all sections of the site. It went straight to hardcore hentai, and that was my first real experience with sexual material of any kind.

That was certainly interesting.

@Norton Will fix. I guess I'll just do the whole podcast down into mono, then dupe the channels to do stereo.

I don't mind it having a little stereo to it, but if it's too much Left or Right then the ear starts to hurt or feel funny. Overall, something has to be in both ears for headphones to work without weirdness feeling to the ears.

But thanks no mater what to seeing this problem out. Shows that you at least care about one fan.

@norton it's just the way the audio recorder does it -- I'm in the left channel, other people are mixed between L&R and just R. I didn't pay much attention to it, but it's an easy fix so I'd be happy to in the future.

First time listening as well, and liked what I heard. In my mind anything tied with Shin Megami Tensei can do no wrong and was pleased when i saw Catherine as opposed to a Persona 5. Haven't done that much research on Catherine yet but, wondered what the relevance was to the main being a goat/sheep though since it could have to deal with the fact that he's in a dream, like counting sheep. After all Shin Megami Tensei is deep in the occult themes.

As for DLing... If its new, and it's televised I have no issues DLing it.. and when the streaming version are sub-par quality... I have no issues or guilt with it.

But there is a lot I need to get DVDs of. Those I do feel bad for not supporting when I can. The Gundams, LoveHina, and more that I'm too embarrassed to talk about.

And mostly, I'm not selling any of the fan subs I DL.

As for Sexuality in games... just like with the TV, if I don't like something, I'll turn it off..

First listen, and I'm seriously digging it. Rock on.

Dealing with the weird audio balance was totally worth it for the "Brad Rice, master storyteller" omake. If I was at a con, and there was a "Japanator After Dark" panel where Brad gave dramatic readings by candlelight, I would so be there.

Hope the next episode isn't too long in coming. :P
