Right out of the gate, our community blogs have been producing some awesome material. You might remember Roody's 2010 Baccano! calendar that we posted about a while back, and now he's onto a new project: trying to market the Sayonara, Zetsubou-sensei anime. SZS is an intensely niche title, with fast-paced jokes based around Japanese culture -- a show that requires you to constantly hover your finger above the pause button in order to understand half the jokes.

And so, his project is broken up into four parts: tackling the logo, the DVD cover, creating magazine advertisements and finally a second DVD cover design. He walks you through his design process on each of the projects -- my favorite is the set of magazine ads, as it really grabs your attention for the show. Really, everything looks 100% professional.

While Roody isn't quite done with college yet, he's sure to get a job right away with some of the work that he's presented here. It'd be foolish if any of the anime/manga companies didn't try and tap his talent. You can check out some of the images down in the gallery below, as well as on his original posts.
