Moving with bold, brash bravado toward the inevitable show number 100, it's time for another episode of Japanator Radio!

Last time I asked what I should do to celebrate #100. Most people felt I should compile my favorite songs from the past 99 shows. Well, I sort of feel like that's what I do every week already, so here's the deal: I want to hear your favorite Japanese songs. Do you have an all time favorite artist or group? A favorite song that never gets old, even after the 10,548th listen? Then let me know what it is in the comments. I'll do my best to compile them all for the big 100th show. Feel free to list more than one!

Getting back to this week, we've got some new Aira Mitsuki, Red Sun, SpecialThanks and some new music from Vola and the Oriental Machine in the Artist Spotlight. Grab it!

Well, I'd say You're doing great job with Japanator Radio and it is good as it is. Don't let the 100th distract You from focusing on current edition. Let's not freak out about numbers.
But..
You want list, here's the list:
1. Minmi - Shiki no Uta [samurai champloo] (man, that song's relaxing)
2. Abingdon Boys School - Strength (on the contrary - that one brings power to life)

I just want to say that Japanator Radio helped me find my love of 9mm Parabellum Bullet and Polysics. It also extenuated my love of Susumu Hirasawa.

So for the 100th show I'd say any good song by 9mm, Hirasawa, or Polysics.

Japanator Radio has helped me find all sorts of execellent japnaese music. For show 100 I would like some stuff like GPKISM.

can't wait for the 100th show, you have opened my ears up to lots and lots of other bands, though my favorite songs are still:

X-Japan's "Kurenai" and "X" (especially when it is done live

also Rin Toshite Shigure's "JPOP Xfile" is a great song

btw, I can't seem to get this week's episode, I just get a blank/empty document, anything wrong with the link?

yup, as others have said, this show was the doorway to a whole new world of music for me. 99% of what I listen to is Japanese music now ~ not only because I find it so vibrant and unique, bit also I'm completely sick of hearing what people are singing about so having lyrics in Japanese suits me fine.
So Zac-san, mucho arigato for your efforts and being a catalyst of sorts, Japanator Radio has kept me sane in workplaces where they blast out the latest inane western tripe thats enough to send one screaming for the hills - I'm looking forward to the 100th show...
.... as for songs, the one that stands out the most for me was from an early show - "Highlight" by Mass of the Fermenting Dregs (with a band name like that how could it not stand out?)hearing that song was like a revelation. However, my favourite Japanese song of all time is "Halcyon Days" by MONO, a song which has never been played on JR as far as I know, but in my humble opinion, well deserves to be ... cheers!

hahahaha! all that aside, zac. i dont care what u do honestly. your show's the greatest. i'll never tire of Japanator Radio. its like one of the exciting things to look forward to each week, everytime u release a new podcast!! keep em comin~ domo arigato mr.roboto =)

Lite - Infinite mirror (Math Rock ftw)
Asian kung-fu generation - Siren
And anything from Yui, High and mighty color, and Gackt's my father's day is good too

I guess I'd list "Kimi no koe" by Sophia in that category of songs I never get tired of, along with "05410" by Radwimps and "Fuuzen Gamu" by Captain Strydum. There's plenty of anime music to add to that, but I'll spare you, Zac.

I've been reading Japanator, and Destructoid for a long time, but I never have commented before. Suddenly I've got the feeling that this was the time, just before the 100th episode of japanator radio.

first, congratulations to Mr Bentz for a great program (and blog), and thanks to Japanator for all the great coverage of all things Japan.

finally, i would love to hear only ONE SONG, and it would be "gazen yeah" from Mihimaru GT. It's a song that always puts a smile on my face XD.

PD: any mistakes in my English is well... because my main language is Spanish XP

I've got every show saved since number 1, I never tire of reading your A-Z site also Zac, your an immense host!

I'd love to hear some of the brilliant Mutyumu again, either L'ceil est dieu or toi et moi from the ilya album. And for some electro, maybe some Saitone from the overlapping spiral album :-) Keep up the good work!

I'll try to keep my suggestions short and simple with a couple rather different tracks.

2 - "NUM-AMI-DABUTZ" by Number Girl (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=511XG_l36bM) - Inject a little noise into your hip rock grooves.

3 - "BERSERK~Forces~" by Susumu Hirasawa (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkYYYew8CUI) - Because the man is a mad monkey genius and it's one of the most epic songs ever written.

4 - "You May Crawl" by School Food Punishment (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PC1F9KqpF78) - Because it's way catchier than it reasonably should be.

- There's another band called Eikostate, they are not from japan but they mix rock with some Japanese instruments... I love them !!
- mmmmm I also could say "Cue" from Cornelius. It's really a great song !
