First off, thanks to everyone for loading up the comments last week with your lists of favorite Japanese songs! Together, we will make show number 100 (which I suppose is something of a two year anniversary as well...jeepers) into so much awesome. Keep it up if you didn't get around to it last week.

This week, lots of new music from some big names, like The Pillows, Base Ball Bear and girugamesh , as well as a look at Art-School in the Artist Spotlight.

Japanator Radio 82 had the best mix ever.

Could you please put more stuff that sounds like the song "ties" by "Ogre You Asshole". That shit sounds like old school 60s stuff.

Gutevolk was dam good!

If you could find some "Happy End" particular there not so well known stuff.

Shugo Tokumaru = more please.

radio 94 the last 2 artist I cant spell there name but they were weird, but more of that.

"Coaltar of the Deepers" I know you love them, but not quiet my cup of tea IMO.

Also I cant find the name but the artist who you said could be artist of the year or something. Actually fails me. less of that i vote.

OK new here and first post, didn't see an FAQ area so please forgive me. First off I was a fan of destructoid and followed that over here, I love the similar format. Second of all I been looking far a jpop/rock/other podcast and most the ones I can find via itunes are not that good or dead so I am glad this is going strong. Couple requests although not for specific music.

I'm a completist so is there a way to get the oldest of podcasts? Pre 17 it seems I can't find via torrent?

Also I was wondering what you would suggest for a jrock version of Pink Floyd.

I like, totally love your show and have been tuning in every week since around episode ~72(-ish). Your suave rhythmical knowledge is what brought me to Japanator in the first place. Your music is righteous, and you are surely the West's premier connoisseur of contemporary Japanese music.

That being said, OMG CAN YOU PLAY SOME MAD CAPSULE MARKETS IN EPISODE 100 (or later!?!?!) They're my favourite J-band, and you would be the perfect conduit for spreading the teachings of those cyberpunk Holy Men. It would put me in a state of perpetual exuberance.

It's good for the soul.

(Also, thanks for the episode 1-16 Torrent! I knew these comments were good for something... *downloads*)

hey Zac ~ to be precise, my most favourite and poignant Japanese song of ALL Time is actually MONO's Halcyon (Beautiful Days), I titled it incorrectly before but you;ve probably heard it before anyways... I reckon one and all should hear this tune at least once in their life time... there's also a live version for free download in the the Late and Great John Peel's session at http://rapidshare.com/files/151413135/Mono_-_Peel_Session_-_2004.zip.
