Ah the crunchy sound of an Umaibo. Such a sweet sound, like a oh so good Cheetos. But alas, this not a Cheetos at all. It's in the shape of a large tube with a hole in the middle. Is that cheese flavor? Well, one is cheese flavor, the rest are far from it.
Umaibo is a unique snack that comes from the Yaokin company. Normally this is a very cheap snack over in Japan mainly selling for 10yen apiece. Over here (US), you have to buy it in thirty packs for around $6. Which, if you do the math, is around $.20 each. Still not a bad deal but eating thirty of the same flavor starts to wear on you.
There is a video after the jump of me explaining five of the flavors in more detail. They are cheese, takoyaki, salad, mentai, and corn potage.
