Do you want a summer anime preview? Well here's part 3!
This time around we've got the Power of Anime show Seikimatsu Occult School, which might be something to look out for! Also in our lineup is a sequel to Sekirei, Dale's favorite fanservice show. Shi ki makes an appearance as well, taking up a noitaminA slot, and of course, most importantly:
YUKIMURA!
OYAKATA-SAMA!
Sengoku Basara season 2! As if you needed anything else. Oh yeah, and vote for Team Ben! Just imagine how many awesome Yotsuba comics you'll get if I win. *nudge nudge*

Seikimatsu Occult School
Studio: A-1 Pictures (Senko no Night Raid, Big Windup!)
Director: Tomohiko Ito (relatively new to directing his own show, was Assistant Director on The Girl Who Leapt Through Time)
Air Date: July 5th
Coming straight out of the Power of Anime block, we're once again seeing a completely original anime idea from A-1 show up with a promising premise: set in 1999, Maya is the daughter of a headmaster of private school that studies the occult. When he suddenly passes away, she is pulled into the world of the occult and encounters Uchida, a man who has fallen back in time from the year 2012.
...And he can bend spoons with his mind.
Whether this show will overcome the stigma of its two predecessors (So Ro No Wo To, Senko no Night Raid) remains to be seen, but it does have some fresh talent on staff, as well as Hikasa Youko (Mio from K-ON!) in the leading role. Hopefully it won't suffer from the same wasted potential sickness the other Power of Anime shows have, and as such I'm looking forward to it.
Pedro Cortez (might) be covering this show, depending on the winds of chance.

Sekirei: Pure Engagement
Studio: Seven Arcs (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, Ikunami!)
Director: Keizou Kusakawa (Asura Cryin', Sekirei)
Air Date: July 4th
It's more Sekirei. What more do you need to say? Girls fight and get their clothes torn off, heavy fanservice everywhere, and it's a harem anime, too! Although, the voice cast it pretty good, featuring Marina Inoue, Aya Endo, and Jun Fukuyama, which means... I don't know what that means, actually.
Dale North is covering this. Not that that's a surprise.

Sengoku Basara 2
Studio: Production I.G. (Ghost in the Shell: SAC, Eden of the East)
Director: Kazuya Nomura (This is Kazuya's first time directing a whole show, but has directed the OP for Xam'd, done key animation on FMA:B and directed many individual episodes of other shows)
Air Date: July 11th
YUKIMURA!
OYAKATA-SAMA!
YUKIMURA!
OOOOYAKATA-SAMA!
Sengoku Basara 2. Watch it. There's a new director taking over from the previous season, but he's had plenty of experience under his belt so it'll be exciting to see how he takes to it. Same cast as before plus a few new faces, but we should get plenty of MY HORSE IS A MOTORBIKE.
BEN HUBER (THE ONE AND ONLY ME) IS COVERING THIS.

Shi Ki
Studio: Daume (Miname-ke, D4 Princess)
Director: Testuro Amino (Macross 7, Zeta Gundam)
Air Date: July 8th
One of the two noitaminA slot shows, Shi Ki is an adaption of a light novel called "Corpse Demon" by Ono Fumiyo (the writer of the Twelve Kingdoms). With a veteran director and the power of noitaminA behind it, Shi Ki certainly looks to be one of the more promising shows this season.
The premise is a series of murders in a remote village that seems like it's stuck in the past. The only doctor in the village, Ozaki Toshio, believes they've died because of a mysterious disease, but soon something much darker proves to be at work.
And Gackt has a voice acting role in this.
Pedro Cortez will be covering this show.
