This had been a little bit ambiguous up until now, but it looks like the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure will be starting from the first story arc, Phantom Blood. A leak from an upcoming issue of Ultra Jump has revealed the key visual for the series, which is an image of Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando. Jojo fans will of course recognize them as the main protagonist and antagonist, respectively, of the very first of the manga. 

I'm crossing my fingers that they take this adaptation all the way. I've been buying a volume of the manga every week for the past few months, attempting to catch up at a relatively leisurely pace. For those of you unfamiliar with the series save for the constant references in other franchises, keep in mind that the popular Stand ability doesn't actually appear in the first arc at all.

I posted the key visual below for your viewing pleasure. I'm really curious to see how a dynamic series such as Jojo's Bizarre Adventure will animate in this day and age. 

One can only hope it'll be filled with ridiculous poses.
