Square Enix's focus on mobile platforms continues, with the remake of Final Fantasy VI looking closer to completion. It's a shame that it couldn't be a brand new game built with the platform in mind, but hey, VI is certainly not a bad game to give some love. In fact, I'd say it's one of my favourites.
But there's something about it all that just doesn't gel well for me. Sure, the graphics look crisper, even a little more cartoon-y, but it kind of feels like the original charm in the art is lost. I'll take that gorgeous pixel art any day! Still, this is a good alternative if portability is a deal maker for you, but I'm quite happy with the copy in my Game Boy Micro, personally.
