In hindsight, this should not be that surprising, but still WHAAAA?!
what the heck will it be about? If they wanted to continue it, they should have just made more episodes or OVAs or something but a movie? I, I can't even imagine what a K-On! movie will be like.

It'll probably be a compilation movie; maybe somewhat reanimated like the TTGL movies. But I'm really skeptical about how this'll perform - K-On may be really popular, but I just don't think it has enough substance to warrant a one-to-two-and-a-half-hour movie.
