I knew that something good would come from hugging my W Driver, because Kamen Rider Battride War performed a second Trailer Kick that shows more of its gameplay sequences.
First of all, I would like to apologize to everyone for being skeptical of this title. And second of all, it's nice that Battride Wars will have a few stages where players will get to put their motorcycle skills to maximum use. Also, there's a chance that we will get a stage where the Shocker Troops use their kamikaze missile attack from All Riders vs Dai Shocker.
While my skepticism has been Rider Kicked to smithereens, I am a little bothered by the fact that the animations in most of the cutscenes feel a bit awkward. For example: The scene with Emperor Form Kiva and Dark Kiva felt like they forgot to add the finishing touch that makes their gestures look more natural. Nevertheless, the gameplay sequences do a better job in expressing the franchise's strong points, so chances are that we will still have fun on May 23rd.
In other Rider related news, Battride War's Premium TV Sound Edition will have all of the opening theme songs from the 14 Heisei Rider shows as part of the 30 songs included. However, the opening songs will only be available in their TV show length. On the neat side, players will have the option to created their own playlists for each situation in the game, which will be possible with the Custom option. With Elements (Kamen Rider Blade's second opening song), Ride the Wind (Decade's battle theme), and Just the Beginning (The battle theme of Wizard's Dragon Forms) included in the music roster, this could mean that every vocal song will be present in the special edition.
Overall, Battride War is shaping up into a better Musou game than I expected, so I'll be on the look out for the next Form that it will use. In order to increase the greatness of future content, I will continue to hug my W Driver, along with my Kamen Rider S.H. Figuarts.
After you finish with the trailer, be sure to take a peek at more screenshots of the game in the gallery after the jump.
