Kamen Rider V3 episode director Atsuo Okunaka passes away photo

Alas, we lose another great person that was involved in the realm of tokusatsu. Atsuo Okunaka passed away from heart failure at the age of 81 on the Friday of February 17. I may not be familiar with the guy's work, but he was the episode director of Kamen Rider V3 (The second Kamen Rider series.), and he was also involved with J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai (The second Super Sentai series.), along with various other tokusatsu shows.

Even though I have yet to experience any of the shows from the Showa era of the Kamen Rider series, I will not deny the fact that he played an important role in its growth. Atsuo Okunaka, your legacy will not be forgotten, and may your creativity continue to shine strong in the afterlife. Now you will have the opportunity to aid Shotaro Ishinomori in his quest to defend the afterlife from any evil organizations that threaten its very being. Just as Kamen Rider V3 obtained his victory over Destron, your victory in the afterlife shall be ensured.

To commemorate his passing, lets us have a moment of silence. As a quick send off to this great individual, take a look at the videos below.
