Even more so than the last time I shared an anime/game cross-up video, you're going to need to tap into your otakuness to get this video. Those versed in the worlds of Final Fantasy and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei will be fine.
I don't know how the idea came about, but I'm glad it did. Someone took "Goin ni Mai Yeah~," the second opening theme and sequence from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, and brought in the characters of role playing classic Final Fantasy VI.
The result is a video with perfect usage of the art style of Zetusbou. In this case, you'll need an even quicker eye than you would with the anime series to catch all of the characters and Final Fantasy-isms. Amazing.
Hit the jump to see a neat 8-bit remix of this same theme.

Awesome video, though I have to pause it a few times to pick out all the characters.
Never would have thought Saynoara Zetsubo Sensei's style would have worked well with FFVI.
That is kind of brilliant in an odd way. While I'll admit in earnest that it isn't the cleanest or most direct translation of the opening, I'll give them points for subject matter.
