There were two announcements that came out of the bowels of Portland's own Kumoricon, and Mecha Mecha Media was there to give us the word. The first announcement is in regards to Jason Thompson's epic tome Manga: The Complete Guide. With more and more titles coming out each month, it's hard for it to be called "complete," right? Well, in order to solve that, Mr. Thompson and his team will be uploading a review of a series a day for an entire year on Suvudu.
And as for Dark Horse? They've got something that you might be interested in. How about a large-sized artbook of The Blade of the Immortal, set to come out in summer of 2010? A souped-up version of a Japanese artbook, this collection will consist of 32 extra images put together for the U.S. release. It sounds like they've got it packed filled with all sorts of goodies, including an introduction by Geof Darrow, the conceptual designer for The Matrix series.
This should be a nice little present for any of you Blade of the Immortal fans -- or if there's anyone you know who would appreciate Hiroaki Samura's art. I think I'll have to pick this up myself when it comes out.
