It's true, as you already know since you probably just pressed play on the video. L'Arc-en-Ciel lends its new single, “Drink It Down” as the main theme for the new Devil May Cry game released on both the Xbox360 and the Playstation 3. This video at first shows images of a duel between Nero, the main character of this game, and Dante, who is the main character for past DMC games. Then on to some drama, winged knights, a frog boss, and even a little taste of romance; DMC4 has it all!
I don’t know about you, but I think this is a perfect match. Well, not a perfect match because what can be perfect? How about a pretty darn good match, because the dark images from the game lend well to the dark melody of “Drink It Down.” So does this do it for you? Will you be purchasing Devil May Cry 4?
Yes! I LOVE L'arc-en-Ciel! This is a rockin' added bonus as I was already going to buy the game being as I already have it pre-ordered and paid off. Thanks for the awesome news! Now I really can't wait, especially if the anime gets canned here in the States at least I'll get the first four episodes with the collector's edition.
Were I a DMC fan (my hack 'n slashes are Mega Man and No More Heroes), I'd be very excited. Especially since Johnny Yong Bosch is voicing Nero.
As for L'arc, I love 'em--but am I the only one who thinks they'll never surpass the awesomeness that was "Ready Steady Go"? It's like they set the bar so high I'm disappointed when a song of theirs doesn't match its greatness.
Well the question is whether the song is actually in the game, and if it is does the American version still have it?
We all know how much US game publishers are so anti-jp music in their releases (either to not freak out the non-geeks who buy the game or because they can't afford to keep the music).
If you think Ready Steady Go is their best song, it must mean A)You are a relatively new laruku B)Haven't heard any of their pre-2000 songs C)A Fullmetal Alchemist fanboy. Nothing against Ready Steady Go, I like the song too, but come on there are so many better songs of theirs.
Go youtube Snow Drop, Lies and Truth, Blurry Eyes, Niji, Heaven's Drive, Neo Universe, and then tell me that Ready Steady Go is their best.
Go do yourself a favor buy Tierra, Real, ARK, and Ray albums.
i dont think ready steady go is the best song its not no where near it i mean theres songs like blurry eyes out there, there more visualy kei works are the best and the best songs they got really are blurry eyes drivers high and dive into blue
lulz, it's cool dude. Going back on that "New Year's Otaku Resolution" mentality already, eh guys? "Ready Steady Go!" is a GREAT song don't get me wrong, but it is for many people, an introductory song that probably got them to like L'arc-en-Ciel in the first place. Whatever makes more people like the same things as I do, is ok in my book.
