I misunderstood something Brad Rice said in an email yesterday and thought he meant to say that Friday was idol day. What he meant was that Idol of the Week was due on that day, but I immediately lost myself in a flurry of ideas. Could I post galleries of all the men that make my heart feel like a fish out of water, flopping about on the beach? I think I got so excited about it he just decided to do it anyway. Therefore, today is Idol Day!

That being said, I thought I'd fire it up with my very first j-idol crush: Oguri Shun. After I saw my first drama, Hanazakari no  Kimitachi e, I remember thinking he was the moody jerk and wondering why women ever fell for that type of guy. Of course, by the end of the series, I was in love with him too. Talk about predictable...

Anyway, Shun has come a long way for himself, not only starring in the currently running Tokyo DOGS but also working on his first directorial project, called "Surely Someday". Of course, it's awesome than he's truly talented instead of just being a pretty face ... but let's be honest, he could probably have been pretty untalented and I would have swooned anyway.
