A new Ryukishi07 anime adaptation hits North America.
For a second, I could have sworn that I heard Garou: Mark of the Wolves(aka Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves), but then I realized that this is a new anime license by Sentai that we are talking about. One thing for sure, this new title involves wolves, because Sentai is bringing over Okamikakushi ~ Masque of the Wolf, which is based off a PSP visual novel game by Ryukishi07 that features artwork by Peach Pit (Rozen Maiden, Shugo Chara).
If you have played, watched, or read Higurashi, Masque of the Wolf's premise is kind of similar, since the show's main character Hiroshi moves into a peaceful town that's full of strange happenings. This time around, the creepy factor is connected to masked hunters, legends about human-sized wolves, and mysterious disappearances.
Masque of the Wolf is getting a DVD and digital release that will only contain subtitles. Both versions will be coming out at a later point in 2013, so be on the look out for any strange murders.
