No, I'm not squiddin' you! The fine humans at Media Blasters have officially become race traitors, and chosen to aid and abet the invasion of mankind by the lifeform known as Squid Girl. We're all doomed! The blood of billions will be the ink that seals their sordid deal.
With Japan already subjugated by its tentacled overlord, Media Blasters will be opening the bay for the second wave this September.
To make this treasonous Pasta Negra more palatable to foreigners, the OP animation will be getting an alteration. Check it out below.*
I expected that Squid Girl would be released eventually. But I did not expect that Media Blasters would be the company. It has licensed only a few anime titles over the last few years, and has instead re-issued older anime, and live action movies and shows.
It has been a while since Media Blasters licensed the first season of Zetsubou Sensei, and there has been very little news since then. At least the original comics are still getting translated.
Zetsubou has been given a December release date. If that sticks or not remains to be seen but it didn't have a date at all for a long time. It was just TBD.
As far as Squid Girl goes I'm looking forward to it. It surprised me that Media Blasters licensed it as it doesn't really seem like their kind of show(at least not based on what they have released recently) and I have to say I'm surprised at the price it will have given the fact that it has a dub(only 25 bucks MSRP which means it will be 20 bucks or lower at most places)
I sort of hope they don't translate it. I mean if they try to translate it or have the actor say it. It's just gonna end up like the horrible "believe it!!" thing from the early days of Naruto. I don't know about you guys but I could live without another dub doing something like that again...
When AnimeSols and Daisuki launched last week, the North American landscape for streaming anime has changed. Sure, at this early point, both services are nascent, offering only some basic services rather than the full range o...

You might of heard that there is a new streaming site that has just launched out of Japan. It is being backed by some big names in the anime world like Aniplex, Sunrise, and Toei.
What could that exactly mean for you, you ask? Well, let me let Eri Maruyama (International Business Development) at DAISUKI answer that as well as many more burning questions that I had about the new service.
When I watched Blood C in Summer of 2011, I thought it was a show that had a lot of promise. It started out with the distinct feeling that something wasn't right in an idyllic town that was being pressed upon by nightmarish b...
