Kaiji! So awesome with a very unique art style. Due a sequel soon too :P

At the top of my head I thought of Bakemonogatari, which has some pretty unique art. Alot of colors, patterns blending and visually interesting style. The plot was hard to follow though and there is a lot of dialogue.

Aoi Bungaku, 青い文学. It's the anime of Japanese literature of what the BBC is to Shakespeare.

I liked Mushi-shi's style a lot. Good series too.

Kaiba. Don't go in there expecting something along the lines of Sin City though; they're only similar in the way they're not similar to anything. FLCL is visually interesting too, but I'm going to assume you've seen that one already. If you did and you liked it, try Gunbuster 2/Diebuster, which really is more of a spiritual successor to FLCL than Gunbuster.

As for movies, try Mind Game. And if you liked Kaiba, Metropolis.

If I were you I would try out something like Eden of The East or Bakemonogatari.

I 2nd Eden of the East , it's really cool . Bakemonogatari 's not bad but there's too much dialogue sometimes . You can try Myself ; Yourself . The anime may seem extremely soft at the front but it's rather shocking at the back and that's probably why I've recommend to you :)
