Currently out of work, or just hate your job to death? Well, here's a chance for some of you with work experience: Tokyopop is currently looking to hire for a Book Distribution Coordinator and Manga Line Editorial Coordinator. Sounds exciting, doesn't it?
First off, these are LA jobs -- so be in the area or fib that you are to actually have a chance.
With the Book Distribution Coordinator position, you'll be working in the retail environment, getting the books from Tokyopop to the retailers, manage supply lines and plan distribution strategy for each seasonal schedule. It's tough work, and requires three years' sales administration experience.
The Manga Line position sounds a bit like my job -- coordinating a pool of freelancers by monitoring their activities and assignments, assist in acquisitions and schedule releases. They're looking for an overall well-motivated person with some social media and management experience, and knowing Japanese wouldn't hurt.
Think you're up to snuff? Check out the pages for the full list of requirements and how to apply. Let us know if you do -- I'll be rooting for you!
[Thanks, Gia]
fate welts me upside my head once again.
