And you know what? It looks good. The trailer just hit for Production I.G.'s new project Loups Garous (werewolf in French), Based on a novel that Viz announced it will be publishing back at NYAF this year, the story is of a near-future world where people barely, if at all, interact with each other. Instead, it's all handled through monitors and virtual reality.
So naturally, there's a murderer going around killing junior high students, and it's up to three girls to solve the mystery. Because we all know you can't trust Japanese police, especially the NPD.
Watching this trailer, I can't wait for this film to hit. It's being handled by the Blood+ team over at Production IG, and Bandai will be releasing it in Japan. Hopefully that means that Bandai Entertainment will pick it up right away. *nudge nudge*
The project is set to come out sometime in 2010, but I'm guessing I'll have to tackle the novel first while I wait.
Seems their popularity has grown quite a bit since Japan Nite a few years back.
