Love Plus does Valentine's with Pocky, augmented reality

What's the best game to celebrate a ronery Valentine's Day with? Don't answer that, because in your heart of hearts, you already know what it is. It's Love Plus, the world's most comprehensive dating simulator.

Konami knows this, and they've decided to team up with purveyor of romantic chocolate breadsticks Pocky to promote this most appropriate of love-love couple's days.

In a combination of the game's pre-launch and Christmas promotions, groups of cosplaying schoolgirls were positioned at various major terminals, handing out Pocky and Love Plus-themed cards to any ronery-looking passers-by.

The Pocky was plain-old Pocky (with the curious choice of Men's Pocky to associate with character Nene Anegasaki), but the cards were augmented reality cards, which, when placed in front of a webcam, would display the objects of otaku affection onscreen, in 3D. So precious.
