Darling, darling please hurry up and get this DVD into my hands!
AoD has the details on the May 6th release of Lucky Star Vol 1. The dual-layered DVD release will come in both limited and normal editions. As for the regular edition extras (also in the limited edition), expect scene galleries, a clean opening sequence with lyrics, liner notes, and a bonus feature called "Adventures of Mirou Shirashi."
Those springing for the limited edition will get Motteke Sailor Fuku Opening CD, the Konata Character CD and a Chocolate Cornet screen wipe. Nice! Oh, and you'll also get the Sailor Fuku itself, somehow changed to t-shirt form. Won't that look weird?
Prices are set at $29.98 and $64.98 respectively. Which set are you buying? Or are you one of those haters?
Hit the jump to see what the CLANNAD girls threw together in celebration of this announcement.
[Thanks to Matt F., who can't wait to to wear this new Sailor Fuku T-shirt with his Haruhi hair ribbon and armband.]

I want to get the Limited Edition, but unless I am able to save up a bit, I may have to settle for the regular. Oh well, it'll be nice to finally have this releasing stateside!
Oh well, there goes my money. $65 dollars, to be precise.
Or rather, whatever Amazon charges for this. Possibly $44.99, like the Haruhi 1 box.
Which brings us to the following detail: There is no box. Which means we'll get the box on Volume 2 or 3.
The limited editions of Haruhi killed my wallet, so I will be getting the regular edition with the rest of you plebes. Depending on the disc size, I might actually skip the first DVD, seeing as I loathed the first 5 episodes or so.
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone saw my money? I think it might be following that special edition box over there...Why I'm I an otaku, if I wasn't I could be rich by now. If I buy that LE I can't not buy the other LEs after it, and just the fact that there is a Limited Edition for something I want to get, I need to have it...
^ Lucky Star was soooo much better to anime nerds. Azumanga's more for the less anime-knowledgeable.
I got mine preordered on animecornerstore.com for $50 so I'm set.
@Xelotath: It's those two words that instantly catch us by the balls - "Limited Edition". I wonder if somewhere there's a price index guide for how much more on average something should cost for being Limited Edition... I bet Super-Omega-Ultra-Special_Limited Edition warrants a 1200% price increase.
I forgot to mention... This:
